En mai 2011, quatre mois après la chute du régime Ben Ali, Moufida Fedhila incarne Super-Tunisian, en référence à l’emblématique Superman, et arpente en tenue de super héros l’avenue Habib-Bourguiba à Tunis. Elle promet aux passants-citoyens de révolutionner leur pays grâce à ses Super-Pouvoirs. Un super pays gouverné par un super héros résolvant tous les super problèmes … Un pastiche acerbe et chargé d’humour des discours politiques démagogiques qui affluaient alors et continuent d’ailleurs de saturer la sphère publique.
Cette performance intitulée St’art est accompagnée d’un tractage de programmes électoraux bilingues qu’il nous semble important de retranscrire.
"Aujourd'hui face aux propositions non concrètes des partis politiques et du gouvernement transitoire et qui ne répondent pas aux volontés du peuple tunisien, le Super-Tunisian est de retour pour décider de son avenir politique.
Le Super-Tunisian est doté :
- d'une super-force lui permettant de dépasser tous les pôles politiques et d'instaurer un Super-Pays.
- d'une super-vision pour anticiper les attaques invisibles de l'obscurantisme à chaque impasse et de voir dans les tournures de la dictature.
- d'une super-vitesse qui lui permet de dépasser les voitures de location qui klaxonnent au milieu de la nuit.
- d'une super-mémoire qui lui permet de se souvenir de la répression d'un passé glorieux. De parler toutes les langues de bois, et de très vite assimiler celles qu'il n'a jamais apprises.

La période post-révolutionnaire ayant libéré l’espace public, Moufida Fedhila éprouve alors ce besoin de valoriser l’art dans la rue en Tunisie, d’interroger, voir de provoquer le citoyen. Sa démarche d’art-istiviste n’étant pas possible sous le régime totalitaire, elle éprouve le besoin dans le nouveau contexte politique de venir agiter le territoire qui l’a vu naître. Rapidement, au cours de la performance qui durera environ 1h30, le débat naît auprès des passants qui s’amoncèlent autours d’elle. Certains citoyens s’approprient le concept et relayent la parole de Super-Tunisian dans l’avenue, d’autres ont des réactions de rejet. Des tracts et pancartes sont alors déchirés, des passants bousculés… Policiers en civil peu coutumier de la liberté d’expression qu’engendre une démocratie ou citoyens contrariés ? Mais n’est-ce pas aussi ce qui fait intrinsèquement l’art : susciter une réaction d’ordre émotionnelle ou intellectuelle ?

In May 2011, four months after the fall of Ben Ali, Moufida Fedhila incarnated Super Tunisian, in reference to the iconic Superman. She paced Habib Bourguiba Avenue in Tunis dressed as Superhero. She promised to citizen-passersby to revolutionize their country thanks to her super powers. A Super Country ruled by a Super Hero resolving all the super problems ... A scathing parody full of humor of the demagogic political speeches that where then legion and are continuing to saturate the public sphere.
This performance entitled St'art was accompanied by the distribution of flyers printed with a bilingual electoral program that seemed important to transcribe.
"Today, in order to challenge all non concrete proposals from political parties as well as the transitional government; proposals that do not meet the Tunisian people's will, Super-Tunisian is back to decide his own political future.
Super Tunisian features:
- A super-strength that enables him to overcome all the political forces and create a Super Country.
- A super-vision to anticipate the unseen attacks of obscure forces in every dead-end situation and to see around dictatorships.
- A super-speed that allows him to go beyond rental cars honking in the middle of the night (Propaganda ritual introduced by Ben Ali throughout his power, of cars honking in the streets following each of his speeches).
- A super-memory that allows him to remember the repression of a glorious past. To speak all kind of obscure languages and quickly assimilate those he has never learned.

Since the post-revolutionary period liberated public space, Moufida Fedhila felt the need to value the art in the streets of Tunisia, to ask questions, even to provoke the average citizen. Her approach as art-tiviste was not possible under the totalitarian regime and she felt the need in the new political context, to stir the territory she was born in. Rapidly during the performance that lasted approximately 1:30, the debate arose with passersby who gathered around her. Some citizens espoused the concept and relayed the words of Super Tunisian in the street, others rejected them. Leaflets and posters were then torn from passersby rushed ... Where they undercover police officer not accustomed with freedom of expression resulting from democracy or sim,ply upset citizens? But isn’t that what makes intrinsically art: to instill an emotional or intellectual reaction?
